German Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) has many benefits which include uses for skin issues (such as eczema), inflammation, anxiety, depression, sleep issues, gastrointestinal distress and even has anti cancer effects.

It even has a major constituent, apigenin, which was discovered to slow the growth of cancer cells.

Chamomile is an antimicrobial, antibacterial and anti fungal. It is considered a nervine, which helps calms nerves and nourish the nervous system. It has been known to help lower blood pressure as well as lower fevers. The German variety is known to be the most potent and has an apple like scent. It’s use is safe in both adults and children.
